An Everlasting Kingdom (part 4)

For context, you are invited to see the other posts in this series here.

We believe the Kingdom of God is victorious in history, before Jesus comes again or the “Rapture” occurs. We believe this victory takes place progressively as God’s people obey the Great Commission which includes evangelism and ALSO bringing every realm of human life and living under the Lordship of Jesus Christ by “teaching them to obey all things, whatsoever I have commanded you. And lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the age.” Dr. Jay Grimstead writes:

4. The Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20) Was Essentially a Command To Make Bible-Obeying Disciples of All Nations and Get Their Nations To Ljve in Full Obedience to Everything God Said in the Bible in All Areas of Life and Officially Bow to Christ as King over Their Lives, Governments and Societies as the Roman Empire at That Time Bowed to Caesar.—What the Great Commission was not, was a commission to simply go and get souls saved so those souls could go to heaven at some point in the future. (Articles 10, 11. and 13 of Concerning the Kingdom of God)
